M & M BEES

The following series of pictures is at Ronnie's house 5-9-2000 where I removed a nest of honeybees from the water meter in the alley:

I was uncertain of the colony size, but this is about the extent of it. all of these bees on the underside of the meter lid.	I moved all the bees into their new home and gave them a little time to settle down.	They settled down a little more before I closed them up for their trip to the farm.	The hive on the left side of the stand is the new colony from Ronnie's house now residing at the farm.

There is normally a fee for removing bees.

The following are pictures where I removed a colony of bees from a wall on 21st St.:

I kept the bees from going home and forced them to find a new place to live.	I put a new place for them to live next to their old entrance.	I provided them with young brood from another hive so they could raise their own queen.

The following is one of the many pollen traps used in collection and this one is pretty busy:

This is a very busy pollen trap!	This is a honeybee collecting pollen and nectar.

Bees building comb and filling with honey.	The bees are just about to complete this section.	This is part of the brood nest, where the little bees are raised.	This is more of the brood in a different hive.
